An add-on set of wheels for a model of the American M1117 Guardian armored car in 1:35 from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a separate detail accessory that replaces the wheels out of the box and moves the final look of the model on.
The M1117 Guardian is an American four-wheeled armored car of the ASV class, that is an Armored Security Vehicle. It came about for the military police, who needed a vehicle tougher than an armored Humvee but still fast and nimble enough for escorting convoys and for patrol duty. It entered service around the turn of the millennium and was used intensively in Iraq and Afghanistan, where its resistance to mines and improvised devices proved itself. A characteristic feature of the vehicle is the tall hull on massive wheels with an off-road tread and the small turret with its combined armament.
Before fitting them, compare the diameter and the width of the wheels with the parts of your kit and with the mounting of the axles, so that the vehicle sits at the right height. First wash the parts carefully in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly, and only then apply the primer. Never paint the tires pure black; dark gray with a dusty tinge looks far truer. It pays to bring out the tread with a dry brush and finally to add pigments according to the setting you place the model in.
This is an add-on set, not a model on its own. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
