This is a supplementary set of metal tracks, not a model of the vehicle. It holds individual links cast in white metal, which are joined with wire pins into a fully workable track. It replaces the plastic tracks supplied in the base kit of the American tank destroyer M18 Hellcat in 1:35 scale.
The M18 Hellcat was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War, famous for its exceptional speed — it was among the fastest tracked fighting vehicles of its day. It carried a 76 mm gun in an open rotating turret and was built for speed and maneuver at the cost of armor.
Clean the casting remains off the links, lay them out one behind another and thread through the wire pins that form the joints. The track can be left workable, or tacked in place with super glue once fitted. The metal surface holds paint better once a primer for metal has been sprayed on, and the weight of the links creates a realistic sag over the running gear.
A supplementary set — it does not hold the model of the vehicle, glue or paints. Meant as an upgrade to a separately bought kit.
