A plastic kit of the M26 Pershing in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss: the American heavy tank of the end of the Second World War with a detailed engine compartment interior.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M26 Pershing heavy tank in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The richly broken-up set contains photo-etched parts, decals and a well rendered engine compartment. The engine cover can be fixed in the open or the closed position, so the interior workmanship can be shown off.
The M26 Pershing was an American heavy tank introduced at the end of the Second World War. It carried a powerful 90 mm gun, which gave it a chance against the most heavily armored German tanks. It took part in the fighting in Europe only in small numbers in the spring of 1945, but it made a greater mark later in the Korean War. In design it foreshadowed the postwar Patton family of American tanks.
Paint and weather the engine compartment before you decide whether to leave the cover open. Assemble and paint the tracks and the running gear separately. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, prime the whole model and paint with an airbrush. You bring the olive base to life with a dark wash in the details, edges picked out with a dry brush and dust or mud effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull. Settle the decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
