An injection-molded plastic kit of the M270/A1 tracked rocket launcher system in the German army version, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model has a detailed hull on a tracked chassis, a well-worked launcher superstructure with canisters and individual track links. Decals and color schemes for marking options are included.
The M270 MLRS is a tracked self-propelled rocket launcher taken into service with the American army in the 1980s, which subsequently became a standard weapon of a number of NATO states. It launches guided and unguided rockets from replaceable canisters. The upgraded A1 version brought improved fire control. The German army operates the system under its own designation.
First assemble the running gear and the hull, then the launcher superstructure and the canisters. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; for the Central European three-tone camouflage, an airbrush and soft transitions work well, and the weathering can be fine-tuned with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
