This is not a kit but a set of brass photo-etched parts by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the American M36 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. It serves to refine the model further where injection-molded plastic runs into its limits. It is tailored to the M36 kit by Tamiya.
The photo-etched parts add fine detail – thin fender edges, grilles, tool clamps, lifting eyes, covers and other small elements that give the model a more scale-accurate look. The open fighting compartment of a tank destroyer offers many surfaces where fine photo-etch shows to advantage.
The parts are broken out of the fret, cleaned up and bent according to the drawing (a bending tool and tweezers help). They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer; the set comes bare.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
