A plastic kit of the American M36 tank destroyer, or rather of its M36B2 form, in 1:35 scale from Academy. The package makes it possible to build this tracked vehicle with its prominent open turret and long gun barrel. The model suits a display case as well as a diorama.
The M36 was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War, armed with a powerful 90 mm gun in an open rotating turret. It came about in response to the need to destroy heavily armored German tanks effectively. The M36B2 form used a hull derived from the Sherman medium tank. The vehicles served with American units at the close of the war and after it.
Assemble the running gear and the interior of the open turret before you close the hull. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. After spraying the primer and the base color, bring the model to life with washes and pigments with which you suggest mud and dust. The open turret invites the addition of a crew and equipment.
