A set of replacement tracks M548(G) for the German version of the M548 cargo carrier in 1:35 scale from AFV Club.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The set is meant to replace the tracks from the box on models of the M548 tracked cargo carrier in the version for the German army (Bundeswehr). The track matches the type these machines carried and, once assembled, settles onto the running gear more realistically than a soft one-piece track.
It improves the look of the running gear on a model of the M548 in German service. Sharply shaped links show up better once painted and weathered, especially on a diorama where the track is seen from the side.
Clean the parts of flash and join them with plastic cement, leaving the joints slightly mobile so that the track can be wrapped around the drive sprocket. The base is dark steel or gray; rub the contact faces with graphite and add dust and mud pigments to match the setting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
