This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Dragon is a combined set: it contains the tracked M727 carrier as well as the separate M192 launcher for MIM-23 HAWK surface-to-air guided missiles. In the package there are three missiles on a traversing launcher that can be built in the transport or the firing position, NEO-type track parts and decals for several users.
The MIM-23 HAWK was an American medium-range surface-to-air missile system that became one of the main weapons of NATO air defense during the Cold War. The M727 carrier was based on the M548 tracked carrier (derived from the armored M113) and gave the launcher high mobility and quick deployment into a firing position.
Assemble the chassis, the carrier and the launcher with its missiles separately. Apply a primer and spray with an airbrush; the olive drab vehicle comes alive with washes and dust pigments on the running gear and the tracks. Keep the missiles and the launch rail apart and paint them separately; the assembly stays traversing and adjustable. Paint the tracks before fitting them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
