An add-on set of parts for models of Israeli tracked vehicles in 1:35. It contains a road wheel hub in the late rendering and a spare wheel. According to the marking of the item it is shaped ready for the Merkava Mk.3 and Namer kits from the Meng company.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank in which the engine is placed at the front and the space for the crew at the rear. The Namer is a heavy armored personnel carrier built on a chassis from the same family of vehicles, so it shares the solution of the road wheels as well. The attribute late points to the rendering of the hub, which differs from the earlier one in shape, and it is just this difference that tends to be visible on a finished model at first glance.
Before seating it, compare the part dry with the place in the kit and check the axis and the depth of the mounting. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so as not to damage the edges of the rim. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. The wheels are painted more easily before being fitted to the chassis; on an assembled vehicle a brush reaches them with difficulty. The recommended glue and the exact procedure are in the manufacturer's instructions.
The package contains only the add-on parts given. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
