The 1:35 MG34P Bipod With Belt Drum represents the machine gun in the armored form standing on a bipod, with a drum at its side. A small accessory in the size of 1:35.
Responsibility details are not available.
The letter in the designation refers to the version with a stronger barrel jacket, of the kind used in the mounts of armored vehicles. The accessory, however, shows it standing on a bipod, that is as the weapon looked after the crew took it out of the vehicle. A drum with a coiled belt is attached to the body. The size of 1:35 comes from the name of the item.
A barrel enclosed in a firing port is cooled worse and suffers damage more easily, and so it received a firmer jacket without extensive perforation. A piece arose that stood up to operation in a cramped space and stayed interchangeable with the standard components. Crews commonly took it off and used it outside the vehicle as well, which is a rewarding situation for building scenes, because one weapon links the interior with the surroundings.
A weapon with a bipod looks good leaned against an embankment, against sandbags or laid on a fender. When seating it, check that both legs stand on the same plane, otherwise the whole will be visibly tilted and the eye will notice it at once. The tiny moving parts take a slight polishing, so that they look used. Think through the direction the barrel points in too, because a weapon aimed away from the action is distracting in a scene.
