This is not a kit but a resin accessory. The set contains fine 3D-printed Mk.IV periscopes in the version with no cap and no groove, of the kind fitted to the turrets and hulls of British tanks. They replace coarser plastic parts and give the vision devices a crisp, accurate shape. Intended for models in 1:35 scale.
The Mk.IV periscope was the standard rotating observation device of British and Allied armored vehicles of the Second World War. The crew used it to look out from a closed vehicle, and in various forms it was fitted into commander's cupolas and crew stations alike. The exact shape of the periscope body is an important detail for a convincing model.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports with a sharp knife or a razor blade and level the surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The glass of the periscope can be suggested with a gloss black paint or a drop of clear resin. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
