A set of modern plastic cans in 1:35 for fitting out vehicle models and for bringing dioramas to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cans are among the most frequent cargo a vehicle carries. While the older types were sheet metal, today's are plastic and have a markedly different shape and surface, so not just any substitute will do on a model of modern equipment. This 1:35 set brings exactly that present-day form, and it is an accessory for military vehicles in the container class.
The cans come into play on vehicle racks and fenders, on trailers, at field positions and lying loose in a diorama. They work best in small numbers and in an irregular arrangement; a row lined up neatly looks more like a depot than like equipment in service. A few pieces stowed askew or leaning against the side of the bed do more for credibility than a full load area.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before gluing, rinse them and let them dry properly so that the primer will hold. Cut the excess material and the marks left by production off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and carefully sand what remains. Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) is a safe choice, because it holds on resin and on plastic. Paint them before fitting: primer, a saturated plastic color, a light dark wash into the recesses and a fine rubbing through of the edges with a dry brush, so that it shows the containers have done some service.
The set suits modelers of modern military and civilian vehicles and diorama builders who are after small cargo. It calls for no special experience; care when cleaning up small parts is enough. The exact contents, the piece counts and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
