Voyager Model Leopard C2 MEXAS is a brass photo-etched set with a barrel and smoke dischargers for a model of the Canadian Leopard C2 MEXAS tank in 1:35 scale. The set is designed for the Takom 2003 kit.

This refining set from Voyager Model serves to refine a plastic model of the Canadian Leopard C2 MEXAS main battle tank in 1:35 scale. Besides the brass photo-etched parts it also holds a turned metal barrel for the gun and the parts for smoke dischargers. It is not a model of the tank but a refining accessory that replaces selected plastic items with finer metal parts. Both the photo-etched parts and the barrel are shaped for the parts of the Takom 2003 kit.
The Leopard C2 MEXAS is the Canadian upgrade of the Leopard 1 series tank, with added MEXAS composite armor to increase the protection of the crew. The vehicle was used on overseas missions of the Canadian army. A turned barrel and smoke dischargers are among the items that markedly raise the realism of a model.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them in a bender. Clean the turned barrel before gluing and seat it in line with the turret. Use super glue or epoxy for bonding the metal parts; treat the surfaces with a primer before painting.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a stand-alone kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
