A set of figures of modern American soldiers in 1:35 scale, on the theme of a logistics supply team. Suitable for bringing a vehicle model or a diorama to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of figures in 1:35 scale shows modern soldiers of the US Army on supply duties. Supply is work that rarely appears on dioramas, and yet it is exactly what gives a scene a story: figures around a load read differently from figures in combat, and the viewer sees at once what is happening in the scene. 1:35 is the most widespread scale for military vehicles, so the set will go with the great majority of armored and truck models.
The figures are supplied to be assembled and painted. They serve best in company with a vehicle or a load, because it is only a human figure that gives a model its scale and lets the viewer judge the real size of the machine. Think the arrangement through before you glue the figures down: the figures should be looking at the same thing and have a sensible reason to be standing exactly where they are. It helps to set them dry on a base, leave the scene for a day and only then decide.
The proven procedure is a base coat, then the main colors of the uniform and gear and finally darkening the folds and highlighting the edges. Leave the faces and hands until last, as they draw the most attention. Clean the figures up and wash them before painting so that the paint holds. Dry-fit the joints of the arms and the heads; a gap at the shoulder is conspicuous on a finished figure. Fill small gaps in the seams with putty and level them with fine sandpaper once dry.
This is a set of figures. The vehicle model, a base, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
