The kit captures the British self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle Morris C9/B, that is, a truck chassis with a permanently installed 40 mm Bofors gun. It is an injection-molded plastic model in 1:35 scale intended for assembly and painting. You will find the particular contents of the package, the number of parts and the markings offered on the packaging.
The Morris C9/B was based on the cross-country chassis of a British military truck with all-wheel drive, on which a 40 mm anti-aircraft gun was mounted. The combination of the gun and a mobile chassis made it possible to escort convoys and protect them against low-flying machines without having to dismantle the weapon and set it up again in a firing position. The drop sides formed a platform for the crew, and outriggers widened the base when firing. Vehicles of this type were used during the Second World War by British and Allied units in Europe.
Proceed from the chassis: finish and paint the suspension, the drive train and the inside of the bed before you close the whole up with the platform. The gun and its mounting are the dominant feature in view, so give yourself time for cleaning up the mold seams. Use thin cement for plastic, and spray the whole model with a primer before painting. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats, coat the areas for the decals with gloss varnish and, once the decals are dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish. The character of an open vehicle is underlined by dark streaking in the recesses, dust pigments on the wheels and fine scuffs on the edges of the platform.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
