An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary German truck Opel Blitz in 1:35 scale from Italeri. The model captures the three-ton truck that formed the backbone of German army supply in the Second World War. The box contains a detailed chassis, a body with a canvas cover and decals for several marking options.
The Opel Blitz was one of the most widespread German trucks of its day. It was used on practically every front to carry troops, ammunition and supplies, and in many field conversions it served as a flatbed, a workshop or a carrier for bodies. It was valued for its simple design, the ready supply of spare parts and its decent performance across country.
This is a military vehicle, so first assemble and paint the chassis, the engine and the drivetrain, and only then close up the cab and the body. Work with a liquid cement for plastic and apply a primer before painting. Lay the base shade with an airbrush and build the transitions and the camouflage in layers. For a faithful look it helps to bring out the details with a wash and to suggest dust and mud deposits with pigments on the underside of the vehicle and on the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
