This resin accessory faithfully represents the engine deck of the German Opel Blitz truck with a canvas cover thrown over it. The set is intended for more advanced modelers as a replacement for the plastic parts of the base kit in 1:35 scale and markedly improves the realism of the truck. The castings are shaped for the Tamiya kit.
The Opel Blitz was the standard three-ton truck of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. It served to carry troops, ammunition and supplies on every front. Canvas covers over the engine compartment and the cargo bed were part of the usual field equipment and protected the vehicle against dust, rain and frost.
Before gluing, wash the mold release agent off the parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The fabric folds of the cover come out well once painted with an airbrush and brought up with a wash and dry pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
