The item is an accessory for builders of military vehicles, not a kit. Quinta Studio prints the details three-dimensionally and already in color on decal paper, so they are applied like conventional waterslide decals and call for neither gluing nor painting of small elements. Because the manufacturer offers the same set alongside for models of other brands, what matters with this variant is that it is cut for the Zvezda kit.
The Pantsir S-1, SA-22 in Western code designation, is a Russian short-range anti-aircraft system combining guided missiles with gun armament. The whole assembly, including the radars and the launch containers, is carried on a heavy wheeled chassis, so the model makes up a sizeable whole with a cab and a crew compartment. It is exactly these inner parts that tend to be simplified on plastic kits, and add-on sets raise them to a level that the display case above all will appreciate.
Even the surface out and coat it with a gloss varnish; silvering appears on a matte surface. Cut the parts as close as possible, soak them in clean lukewarm water and handle them with a brush. Do not use decal softener or decal setting solution; their chemicals would damage the printed resin. Once dry, a matte varnish and a gentle darkening of the surrounding surfaces come in handy, so that the inside does not look new and clean against a vehicle weathered on the outside.
