1:35 Pavesi P4 with tyres is a kit of the Italian articulated artillery tractor, and that in the variant with tires.

The Pavesi P4 belongs among the most interesting solutions of interwar artillery equipment. The Italian tractor had an articulated frame that broke in the middle, and all four wheels were driven. Thanks to that it got over unevenness on which an ordinary truck became stuck. Plusmodel has worked it up in 1:35 scale, specifically in the form with tires.
The machine came about for towing guns in terrain without made roads, that is for mountains and soaked plains. The articulated construction allowed the front and the rear part to turn against each other and the wheels to hold the ground even over bumps. Beside Italy the machines appeared in further armies as well. Besides artillery it also served for towing loads and towed equipment.
Put the articulated frame together carefully and keep checking whether the two parts are not tipping to the sides. Fit the wheels only after painting, so that the tread does not get clogged. Italian equipment takes warmer tones of brown-green, which will benefit from a fine lightening of the panels. Apply mud from the bottom upward and always more strongly around the wheels. At the end bring out the breaking point in the middle with a darker line, so that it is clear at first glance how the frame turns.
The tractor is unassembled and unpainted. Prepare paints, glue and building aids yourself, unless stated otherwise.
