A piano 1:35 is a diorama accessory for interior scenes, not a kit. Into a wrecked house, a parlor or a hall it brings an element that gives away at once that somebody used to live here.

An accessory from the Czech maker Hauler for interior dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but a piece of furniture that tells the story of a scene. It is precisely such objects that set dioramas apart from merely displaying a model on a board: the viewer stops at them longer than at the vehicle itself.
A piano belonged to the furnishings of middle-class apartments, schools, taverns, halls and country farms and survived in them through the whole twentieth century. The case of varnished wood, the keyboard with white and black keys, the pedals and the music desk are recognizable at first glance, which is a great advantage in a small scale - the accessory works even without detailed painting.
Begin the painting from the whole to the detail. Spray the case with a dark brown or black-brown base, and once it has dried go over it with an oil paint drawn in the direction of the grain of the wood, and finally give it a gloss varnish, because varnished wood is recognized in scale precisely by its sheen. Paint the keyboard at the very end: first a continuous light stripe, and once that has dried draw the dark semitones into it with a very fine brush. Your hand steadies better if you rest the part against the edge of the table. In a wrecked interior it pays to add dust from pigments, small rubble on the lid and bare light wood where the case is damaged. Glue the accessory into the scene only once painted, or you will not reach it with a brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. A base, glue and paints are not included in the package.
