1:35 Plastic barrel 120 l is a plastic barrel with a volume of 120 liters in 1:35 scale — a stand-alone object of a scene for a diorama, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Barrels are among the most used diorama props of all — they fill a corner, create a group, serve as a support for a figure and as a vertical element of a composition. This variant is plastic and matches a volume of 120 liters, which sets it apart from the smaller barrel and from the classic metal drums in the same diorama line. It is a stand-alone object of a scene, not a model of machinery.
The same subject in three scales
The accessory is also made in 1:48 and 1:72 scale. The scale is the distinguishing detail — choose it according to the figures and vehicles in your scene.
You will use the barrel in a depot, in a yard, by a workshop, in a unit support area, on a building site and in a present-day civilian scene. The plastic form aims rather at postwar and modern scenes than at scenes from the first half of the twentieth century. It looks good in a group with other barrels and boxes from the same line.
Separate the part from the casting residue with a sharp scalpel, level the mating surface by sanding and degrease the surface before priming. Choose the glue according to the material — cyanoacrylate for small resin parts, thin cement for plastic on plastic. Plastic is weathered differently from metal: rust has no place here, and instead work with a dulled surface, a faded shade on the sunlit side, scratches scribed with a needle and dark streaks below the neck. Choose a saturated base color — blue, green or white are usual on industrial barrels — and leave the surface satin rather than glossy.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
