PPSh-41 submachine guns in 1:35 scale complete the personal armament of figures and the fitting out of the interiors of Soviet equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A package of small armament meant to complete figures and the insides of vehicles. The name gives the type of the weapon and a count of four pieces; data on the material or on the length of the individual parts is not in it.
The weapon of the designer Shpagin was produced from 1941 and became one of the best known Soviet products of its time. It was built so that even workshops without experience of arms production could manage it: a large part of the parts came about by pressing from sheet metal, the gun stock was made of wood and the whole stood up to rough handling. It fired pistol ammunition of 7.62 mm caliber and was loaded with either a drum magazine or the later straight magazine. The pieces produced ran into the millions, so you will meet this weapon in practically every scene from the second half of the war.
The contrast of wood and metal decides whether a reduction looks credible. Leave the gun stock warm and slightly uneven so that the area is not uniform; darken the metal parts rather than not and suggest the wear on the edges only by a hint. The drum magazine is a conspicuous shape that deserves a clean division between the body of the weapon and its casing. The barrel tends to be the most stressed, so a light scuff looks most natural there of all.
