On a diorama it often happens that a building serves only as the background behind equipment or figures. On a set piece like that it does not pay to spend hours glazing and masking, because the windows are seen from a distance. A printed factory glazing subject in 1:35 scale shortens that work to cutting out and gluing on, and the scene still does not lose its depth.
The accessory belongs to the Printed Accessories range and carries its own designation. The subject is a factory window filling. How many parts are in the package and what dimensions they have are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions; compare the size of your own window openings with these figures beforehand.
Make the cut with a sharp blade a little way from the edge of the subject and even the edge up afterward. Put the element against the opening dry and only then glue it, and dose the glue sparingly around the perimeter; the suitable type is set out in the manufacturer's instructions. On set pieces that stand further from the viewer it helps to darken the window slightly, so that it does not look as though there is empty space lit behind the wall. Test the paint and the varnish on an offcut beforehand; a printed surface reacts to solvents differently from plastic.
The set is meant for builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale who need to settle the windows of an industrial building, a set piece or the back plane of a scene quickly. Even a beginner will cope with it, because it is only a question of an accurate cut and careful gluing. Paints, glue and a kit of the building are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
