An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand IBG models, released as a limited edition. The real subject is the pre-production German light tank Pz.Kpfw. II version a2.
The Panzer II was created in the middle of the 1930s as a transitional type between the training Pz.Kpfw. I and the planned heavier vehicles. The pre-production machines carried a designation with a small letter and a number, a1, a2 and a3, and they are recognized from the later production versions mainly by the running gear: six small road wheels in bogies with a longitudinal girder. The main weapon was a 2 cm automatic cannon supplemented by a coaxial machine gun, and the crew consisted of three men. The a2 version differs from its siblings in partial design changes, above all in the rear part of the hull.
Finish the running gear and any interior before you close up the hull. Glue the bogies of the running gear on a flat surface, so that the wheels bed down in one plane, because otherwise the model visibly sits crooked in a display case. Begin the painting with a primer and lay the base shade down in several thin coats; then lighten the surfaces with an overspray from above. You bring the detail out with a dark wash, with chipping of the edges and with fine dust pigments on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
