Photo-etched accessories for the Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.B light tank in 1:35 scale, meant for completing a plastic kit.

A metal fret in 1:35 scale for the German Pz.Kpfw.I light tank in the Ausf.B version. It serves for completing a plastic kit, which has to be obtained separately; the set itself contains no parts of the hull or the turret.
The Ausf.B version came about by lengthening the hull, so that a stronger inline Maybach engine would fit into it. The running gear therefore carries one road wheel more on each side and the idler wheel is raised above the ground. The armament stayed at a pair of machine guns in the turret, which made the machine a training and reconnaissance vehicle rather than a combat tank. Even so it managed Spain, Poland, France and the first months of the campaign in the east, where tougher opponents soon pushed it into the second line.
The fenders, the grilles above the engine and the tool holders are exactly the places where a plastic mold runs into its limits and where metal pays off most. Bend a fender before gluing it on and try laying it dry, as a small deviation can no longer be corrected later. Glue the grilles so that room is left beneath them and a shadow is visible. After varnishing, draw a dark wash into the corners and go over the edges with a dry brush.
