Eduard 1:35 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.F is a photo-etched detail set for a model of the German light tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory with which a model is equipped with fine parts.

This is a set of photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet, intended to equip a model of the Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. F light tank in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts replace the plastic parts that are in reality thin and on an injection-molded model necessarily come out thicker, for example grilles, brackets, tool clamps or covers. The result is a model with finer details. The set is made by the Czech company Eduard. The package contains no kit and no paints.
The Pz.Kpfw. II was a German light tank of the Second World War period, armed with a rapid-firing 2 cm cannon and a coaxial machine gun. The Ausf. F version was among the last larger production forms, and its recognition mark is the flat front plate. Given their weak armament and armor, vehicles of this class were used in the later years above all for reconnaissance, liaison duties and training.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface; do not nip them off. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two rules, and it is better to score sharp edges beforehand with the blunt side of a blade. Degrease the sheet before gluing, so that both paint and glue hold. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; on larger areas a gel version suits, because of the longer time it gives to line a part up. The plastic under an etched part often has to be thinned, so that the part seats flush. Before painting, a base coat for metal is advisable, otherwise the paint holds poorly on smooth sheet.
The set contains no kit. It is an accessory bought to go with a model. Check that the set matches the kit you are building.
