This is a figure cast from modeling resin in 1:35 scale, that is, in the same scale in which most models of military and civilian equipment are built. It is not a kit of a vehicle and not an accessory for one: the figure is an object of its own, which serves to bring a diorama to life, to complete a finished model or as a collector's piece in itself. The casting is unpainted and before painting it calls for the usual preparation of a resin part.
Alternity Miniatures makes its name with original figures that stand outside classic military production, as they draw on post-apocalyptic, comic-book and fantasy worlds and have a strong feel for character. That is exactly their selling point: the figure looks like an illustration, not like an anonymous soldier standing to attention. Compare the particular conception of the figure, its pose and its accessories with the data of the manufacturer before buying, because with original figures the detail of the sculpting is the main thing.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that the remains of the mold release agent come off the surface; otherwise the paint holds badly. Cut the casting blocks away with a saw or a cutter, never break them off. Do the sanding wet and with protection of the airways, as resin dust is not to be breathed in. The parts are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), since glue for plastic has no effect on resin. Before painting apply a thin layer of primer, then work with acrylics or oil paints: on the skin and the fabrics a gradual glazing and shading has proved itself, on the metal parts a dry brush or pigments.
The figure is supplied unpainted, as a casting in resin. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
