1:35 military police light set for the K131 from DEF Model is a resin accessory for the South Korean light utility vehicle in the military police version. It is not a model of the vehicle but a set of details for it.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory set from the manufacturer DEF Model that turns an ordinary South Korean light utility vehicle K131 into a military police car. The warning lights are exactly the element by which the police version is recognized at first glance, and at the same time an element that injection-molded plastic can never render thin and clean enough. The set is not a model of the vehicle: it assumes you already have the K131 kit and want to give it a particular role.
The K131 is a light utility vehicle of the South Korean army, the successor to an older line in the category of quarter-ton off-road cars. It serves for liaison, reconnaissance, the carriage of personnel and, in the police form, for supervising convoys and keeping order in unit areas. Military police vehicles carry warning lights in addition and tend to be markedly more prominently marked than ordinary examples, which makes them a rewarding subject for a diorama and for a model on its own.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release comes off the surface, because otherwise neither paint nor primer will hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the surface with abrasive paper used wet, with protection for your airways, because resin dust must not be breathed in. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for plastic will not join resin. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting. The covers of the warning lights gain depth if a silver or white coat is laid under the translucent color; leave the inside of the reflector glossy and lay the colored cover on in several thin coats, so that it stays translucent.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
