A wheel set with flattened tires for a model of the Russian GAZ Tiger vehicle in 1:35 scale. They make the model look as though it really stands on the ground.
Responsibility details are not available.
A real vehicle presses down on its tires with its own weight, so they flatten where they touch the ground and the sidewall bulges a little. A wheel from the kit is perfectly round by comparison, and the model then looks as though it were merely touching the ground. A replacement wheel set with this flattening imitates the shape of that contact, and the difference shows at first glance, especially in a diorama where the vehicle is caught moving or parked. The set is intended for the Russian GAZ Tiger in 1:35 scale.
The flattened part must face the ground, otherwise the whole effect is lost; glue the wheels on last and stand the vehicle on a flat board before the glue sets. Check that all the wheels really touch the board and that the model does not limp. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the area smooth. The suitable glue is given in the manufacturer's instructions according to the material of the parts; degrease the surfaces before joining them.
Do not paint the tire pure black; real rubber is closer to dark gray and, in addition, it quickly lightens from the road. What helps most is dust settled in the grooves of the tread and on the sidewall, shading into the color of the ground the vehicle has been driving over. Paint the rim separately before you fit the wheel, as that gives you access to its inner face too.
The vehicle model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
