A set of painting masks for a model of the Bf 109 in the A and B versions in 1:48 scale, built around the kit from Dora Wings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A and B versions belong to the very earliest production forms of the Bf 109 fighter. They came about in the second half of the 1930s, were lighter and less powerful than the later and better-known variants, and differ from them in the shape of the nose and the layout of the cockpit as well. Models of the early Bf 109 are rewarding exactly because they look different next to the usual late form, and it is worth doing them carefully, including sharp edges on the color areas.
Painting masks for a model of the Bf 109 A and B in 1:48 scale. The set is tied to the kit from Dora Wings, because the templates are cut to the shape of particular parts. The scope of the set, that is which parts of the model the templates cover, is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The templates are stuck on before spraying, not after it. The surface of the model must be clean, dry and degreased, otherwise the mask will not hold and the paint will creep under. Lift the template off its backing with tweezers, lay it in place and press the edges down; on curved surfaces work in small sections. Apply the paint in thin layers and spray from the edge of the template inward, so that the paint does not get under the edge. Take the templates off shortly after the paint has dried, not days later; the edge is then sharper and the adhesive releases more easily.
The aircraft kit and the paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
