An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian T-14 main battle tank on the universal Armata tracked platform in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Takom. It is a new tooling of a modern tank; according to the manufacturer the package contains, besides the plastic parts, photo-etched metal and decals. The model captures the characteristic unmanned, remotely controlled turret.
The T-14 Armata is a modern Russian main battle tank developed on the universal Armata tracked platform and first shown publicly in 2015. Its main design feature is the unmanned, remotely controlled turret, while the whole crew is placed in an armored capsule in the front part of the hull. The tank carries a 125 mm gun with an autoloader and puts the emphasis on crew protection and modern sensors. The Armata platform is at the same time conceived as a universal tracked basis for a whole new generation of Russian heavy vehicles.
Work with liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with super glue. Finish and paint the running gear and fit the side skirts before the final painting. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. On a modern tank a discreet patina proves itself: a light highlighting of the panels, dust deposits on the lower hull and light mud effects on the running gear with the help of washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
