A set of injection-molded plastic figures, Soviet tank crew, Kursk 1943 (the Bail Out! series), in 1:35 scale from Master Box. The box contains four figures of Soviet tankmen caught at the moment when they abandon a stricken vehicle. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The scene is tied to the tank battle at Kursk in the summer of 1943, one of the largest clashes of armored units of the Second World War. The figures are in action poses of jumping and escaping from a burning or damaged tank and carry the period gear of Soviet crews – coveralls, tank helmets and personal equipment. The poses of the whole group are designed so that together they form a single dramatic scene.
Glue the parts with cement for plastic and clean up the joints. For figures a primer works well, then gradual layering from the base tones, a wash into the folds of the uniforms and edge highlighting with drybrushing. Paint the faces with a brush. The set is ideal for building a diorama with a Soviet tank – it gives the scene action and tension.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
