An accessory set of wheels sagged under load for the Russian Typhoon-K 6x6 armored vehicle in 1:35 scale. A replacement for the wheels from a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of replacement wheels in 1:35 scale is intended for the Russian Typhoon-K armored car in the 6x6 arrangement, that is for a heavy vehicle with mine protection for the crew. The tires are done with the flattening that arises under the weight of a standing vehicle, so the wheel bears on the base with an area and not with a single point. It is precisely this detail that adds more to the believability of a finished model than far more laborious work elsewhere.
On large wheeled vehicles the wheels tend to be the most conspicuous element, because they are visible from every angle and draw the eye. A replacement set usually brings a sharper tread pattern and a cleaner sidewall than a split plastic wheel allows. The scope of delivery and the number of pieces are given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's instructions, as are the recommended kits the wheels fit.
Before gluing, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder carefully. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint may not hold. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the bond, because cement for polystyrene may not take here. When seating them on the axles, turn each wheel so that the flattened patch points down toward the base, and stand the finished model on a flat surface so that all the wheels make contact.
Paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The extent of the set itself is given on the manufacturer's packaging.
