This set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from the Eduard brand is not a stand-alone model but an accessory for raising the level of detail on the German Sd.Kfz 251/1 medium armored half-track in the early Ausf. A production version. It adds fine metal items that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully.
The Sd.Kfz 251 was a German medium armored half-track of the Second World War, widely used to carry infantry and in a number of specialized versions as well. The /1 version was the basic transport variant, and the early Ausf. A represents the oldest production configuration with its distinctive design features.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, shape the bends against a ruler or on a bending tool, and glue them with super glue. The fine brackets, hinges and interior details stand out once primer has been sprayed on and a wash applied.
