The photo-etched set of the Czech maker Eduard serves to refine and complete the details of a plastic model of the German Sd.Ah.116 heavy trailer (Sonderanhänger 116) in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of the trailer but a set of photo-etched parts. The metal parts replace coarser plastic features and add fine details.
The Sd.Ah.116 was a German heavy lowboy trailer of the Second World War with bogies, used to carry lighter tanks, guns and other equipment behind tractors. Its rugged load bed and folding loading ramps made it possible to load vehicles under their own power.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Degrease the metal surfaces before painting. The trailer comes into its own in a diorama with a tractor and loaded equipment.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model of the trailer. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
