The Sd.Kfz. 251 was a medium German half-track armored personnel carrier and the most widespread vehicle of its kind in the Second World War. It carried an infantry squad behind armor and served in a whole range of purpose-built modifications. The rear part of the vehicle was carried by a tracked chassis, at the front was an unpowered steered axle. The vehicle has its tires on just this front axle, so the tread design is the only place where a tread pattern shows on the Sd.Kfz. 251 at all.
Replacement wheels in 1:35 in the rendering with a common off-road tread, which the name links with Fulda tires. The set is intended for Border Models kits, so in shape and in mounting it aims at them. If you want to use it on another kit of the same vehicle, first compare the diameter of the wheel, the width of the tire and the way it fits on the pin dry. The choice of tread is the main thing here: by the pattern the model comes closer to a particular machine from a period photograph.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, so that the whole edge of the sidewall is preserved. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. Choose the glue according to the material given on the package and leave the exact procedure to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep the tire in a muted dark gray, bring the pattern out with a dry brush a shade lighter and separate the disk with the vehicle color. Finally unify the wheels with the model by dusting in a direction from the ground upward.
What is supplied is the wheels alone. The carrier kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
