Replacement early pattern tracks and a drive sprocket for the Sd.Kfz.251 half-track in 1:35 scale, in the version without polygonal shaping.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was a German half-track armored personnel carrier of the Second World War. At the front it had a wheeled axle and at the rear a tracked running gear with a drive sprocket, and it is precisely the track run with the drive sprocket that is among the most visible parts of the whole vehicle. The treatment of the tracks changed during production, so an early and a late machine differ in this detail.
The set brings early pattern tracks and a drive sprocket to go with them, in 1:35 scale. It is offered in two forms, and this item is the one without polygonal shaping; the other variant has it. The parts replace the components from the box in kits of the Sd.Kfz.251 carrier in the same scale.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement for plastic has no effect on them; they are joined with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully, so that the surface is not damaged. Wash and degrease the parts before gluing and before painting, otherwise the paint will take poorly. The particular preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. When fitting the track, try in advance how it will run over the drive sprocket and the idler, and only then fix it in place.
The set is for modelers who are building the early version of the Sd.Kfz.251 and want the track run and the drive sprocket to be more faithful than the parts in the kit allow.
The package holds the tracks and the drive sprocket. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
