A set of 3D-printed American 24 inch shipboard searchlights in 1:350 scale. It is a detailing accessory for building warships, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set brings miniature American 24 inch shipboard searchlights in 1:350 scale, made by direct 3D printing in resin. It is neither a ship model nor part of a hull, but a fine detailing accessory that replaces the coarser plastic parts from the box and noticeably lifts the level of the superstructure. It comes from the Czech brand Eduard as part of its range of printed accessories.
Searchlights of this type were used on American warships of the Second World War for night signaling and for searching the surface. The package contains a set of ten searchlights, so it is enough even for a more broken-up superstructure or for several smaller vessels. Thanks to the small, sharply printed detail they come into their own especially once a clear lens is fitted and the frame is brought out with a dry brush.
Separate the parts carefully from the printed supports with a sharp knife, wash them free of any resin residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spraying the base with a primer and toning the searchlights with a dry brush is recommended; the glass can be suggested with a drop of gloss varnish or with clear resin. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
