1:35 Set of scale models

About the item

A set of model parts in 1:35 scale of ammunition, weapons and accessories for equipment. The full contents of the package are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's material. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary ground equipment and figures, so the parts fit the usual military scenes in size.

Where the set fits

Equipment of this kind tends to be the last thing a scene is missing, and yet it decides the final impression. Placed around the equipment and the figures, it gives a diorama action and the viewer a clue to how large everything is. Set the parts out irregularly and leave some of them partly covered or laid aside; an even row of identical objects gives away that it is a set from one package.

Building and painting tips

• The material of the parts, the assembly procedure and the suitable glue are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder.
• Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface.
• Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy application floods the edges of small parts.
• Lighten the edges slightly and dust the lower parts, so that the parts do not look new in the scene.

Who it is for

For builders of military dioramas in 1:35 scale who are completing a scene with small equipment. Models of equipment, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
