Bags of potatoes in 1:35 scale, three pieces (Spalah) are a small scenic accessory for civilian and military dioramas alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
The box gives three bags of potatoes in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but the kind of small thing that gives a diorama an everyday layer: a load on a truck bed, a store in a yard, loot on a wagon. The Ukrainian brand Spalah prints these accessories with 3D technology from photopolymer resin and supplies them on print supports, unpainted.
Bags of goods are among the best working elements of civilian scenes and of scenes from occupied territory. They go on wagons, farmyards, railway platforms and on the bed of a military truck. Three pieces combine well: one upright, one leaning, one toppled over. It is this irregularity that makes a scene believable; bags lined up side by side look like a shop window.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water, cut them from the supports and sand the marks smooth with fine paper; protect your breathing while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After primer, give the jute a base gray-beige shade and then uneven glazes, so that the cloth is not all one color. Suggest the seams and the string at the neck in a darker color and add dust and earth to the lower part. A gloss varnish has no place here; a sack is meant to be flat.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
