Shingles [Type 1] is a set of 216 roof shingles in 1:35 scale for laying roofs on diorama buildings. An accessory for creating a scene, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of a building but a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale: individual roof shingles with which the roof of a house in a scene is covered. The name gives 216 pieces, that is enough for a continuous area, and a version marked as the first type. Other parameters are not stated.
A roof is the largest continuous area in a diorama and at the same time the most common place where a simplification gives itself away. A molded sheet with suggested roofing has all its elements identical and in one plane, whereas roofing laid from individual pieces allows you to work with irregularity: a sagging course, a piece sticking out, a shingle missing at the edge. It is exactly these small things that make the difference between a set piece and a believable house, particularly on ruins and damaged objects where the roof is partly torn away.
Work from the bottom upward and overlap each further course so that it covers the joints of the one before. It pays to draw guide lines on the groundwork beforehand, or the courses will drift after a few steps. Do not push the regularity to perfection, though; a piece slightly turned or sticking out looks natural. On a damaged object, leave gaps in the area and let the roof truss show through below them. If you are unifying the area with the rest of the scene in color, allow for the fact that shingles age unevenly and that a difference between pieces is desirable.
