Skis in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Hauler are a diorama accessory, not a kit. They will complete winter scenes, the equipment of figures or the load of equipment standing idle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small diorama accessory for winter scenes. It is not a model of a vehicle nor a kit but a separate prop that is added to a scene already built. Hauler is a Czech maker of aftermarket accessories and diorama elements.
A winter diorama is a rewarding theme, but also a treacherous one: snow unifies the colors and a scene easily loses its legibility. What helps is precisely small objects with a pronounced silhouette, which bring shape and a dark value into the white area. Skis leaning against a wall, laid on a truck bed or stuck in the snow do exactly that and at the same time state unmistakably the season and the conditions in which the scene takes place, without anything needing to be explained.
Separate the parts carefully, check that they are flat and straighten any bow. The wooden form is done with a light ground and an oil glaze drawn lengthways, a varnished surface, by contrast, with a glossy paint and a fine sheen over a clear varnish; pull the metal fittings and the bindings out with a dark steel color. The base belongs scuffed and lighter than the rest. Settle the accessory into a snow scene so that the snow is heaped up on one side, never symmetrically. Apply modeling snow in layers and let it dry between them, or the compound will shrink and expose the ground.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, the figures, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
