Skull Clan is an original fantasy series, not a historical subject. The characters have stylized equipment, a pronounced pose and accessories that follow adventure and post-apocalyptic motifs. That is exactly why the series gives modelers so much freedom: the color scheme is not tied to any period regulation and can be designed to suit your own idea of the scene.
With figures in 1:35 scale the preparation of the surface decides everything. Trim and sand the mold seams and the sprue gate marks carefully, otherwise they will show up once the primer is on. It is practical to paint the figure broken down into head, torso and limbs and to glue it together only after the less accessible places are finished. Build the skin from a mid flesh tone through thin glazed shadows to a light highlight on the raised areas; the eyes are better only suggested, as excessive contrast looks unnatural at this scale. The fabrics come alive with a restrained dry brush and a thinned wash in the folds.
