Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a Soviet infantryman of the years 1941 to 1943 in 1:35 scale from the maker Evolution Miniatures. The name is in the singular, so it is one figure. In the designation the maker recommends it for a scene with a KV-1 tank, which is a pointer for the composition of a diorama rather than a commitment to a particular kit. The figure is supplied unpainted and unassembled.
The Soviet field uniform of this period is painted in khaki to olive tones, which in period photographs range from greenish to markedly earthy. Choose one base shade and keep it within a scene, otherwise the figures will look mismatched. Do the leather straps and pouches in brown tones and the footwear somewhat darker. Leave the helmet in the same khaki as the uniform, with a higher proportion of green and with no gloss. Darken the metal parts of the equipment and then polish them gently. The extent of the equipment is not specified here, so go by the actual contents of the package.
The material of the casting is not stated here, so choose the procedure according to what you find in the package. Wash resin parts in warm water with detergent because of mold release agent residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Polystyrene parts are bonded with ordinary modeling cement. Clean up the parting lines and the sprue nubs carefully before the primer, because once it has been sprayed any correction is laborious. Spray the primer thinly. Build up both the uniform and the skin by layering from a dark tone toward lighter transitions; a dark wash will then bring out the folds and drybrushing the edges. With a single stand-alone figure it pays to devote time to the face, because it is the face that decides the final impression.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
