This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale offers a detailed model of the Soviet main battle tank T-62. The assembled model measures roughly 27 cm and contains a richly broken-up hull and turret surface, the running gear and a decal sheet with Soviet markings. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The T-62 was a Soviet tank taken into service in 1961 as the successor to the widespread T-55. Its main weapon was a 115 mm smoothbore gun, one of the first of its kind on tanks, which fired armor-piercing sabot as well as shaped-charge rounds. The vehicle was produced in large numbers and in various forms served for decades with a number of armies around the world.
With military vehicles, assemble and try the running gear before you close up the hull. After painting the base shade with an airbrush, bring the surface to life with washes into the recesses and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the lower parts. Bring out the tracks and the tools separately for a credible result.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
