Figures of a Soviet tank crew in 1:35 scale. They are supplied unassembled and unpainted, to complete an armored vehicle model or a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
A crew gives a vehicle model both scale and a story. Only a figure leaning out of a hatch or resting against a fender shows how large the machine really is, and a display piece turns into a scene. Soviet tank crews wore a one-piece coverall and a soft padded helmet with ribbed reinforcement, which is recognizable even on a small figure.
Figures of a Soviet tank crew in 1:35 scale. At this scale an adult figure is roughly five centimeters tall, so the expression of the face and the folds of the clothing can be seen. The number of figures, their poses and the recommended assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Remove excess material and production marks with a sharp blade and sand the surfaces gently; be especially careful on the faces, because a nose or a chin that has been sanded away will not come back. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Build up the skin from a darker base toward the lighter areas on the forehead, nose and cheekbones, and add the eyes at the very end. The uniform benefits from looking worn; sharply new fabric looks unnatural on a figure.
The set suits modelers who build Soviet ground vehicles in 1:35 scale and want to add a crew, whether for a display case or for a diorama. Paints, glue and a figure base are not included, unless stated otherwise.
