1:35 Soviet tank crew close fight is a standalone Black Dog resin figure of a Soviet tank crewman, designed for a close-fight view.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single figure cast in resin, offered by Black Dog. According to the name it represents a Soviet tank crewman and belongs to a group of figures with the shared subject of a clash at short range. It is sold on its own, so you choose both the opponent and the surroundings to your own idea.
A crew outside the vehicle is more interesting for a diorama than a figure looking out of a turret: it wrenches the story out of its calm and immediately raises the question of what happened to the hardware. The figure therefore works well beside a parked hull, on the slope of a ditch or among broken crates. If you want to use it without a counterpart, turn it so that it faces away from the line of sight; the viewer will then work out that the action continues beyond the edge of the scene.
Once the casting is washed, cut the casting block off with a saw and check the mating surface of the feet; with a dynamic pose it tends to be small, so gluing in a wire pin pays off. Crew overalls take a somewhat darker base than seems right at first glance, because every surface is visually lightened at a small scale. Bring the folds out with thinly diluted paint, close the leather parts of the equipment with a faint gloss and leave the rest entirely matte. Dust on the knees and elbows will give the figure weight.
