The set is not a model of the vehicle; it holds castings of stowage and equipment that are added to the open fighting compartment and to the outer faces of the hull. The designation Europe tells this set from the variant by the same brand put together for another theater, as the contents of each are chosen differently.
The M7 Priest was an American self-propelled howitzer on a tank chassis with an open fighting compartment and a characteristic cylindrical machine gun position on the right side. The open compartment meant that all the crew material, ammunition crates, personal equipment and tarpaulins were visible from outside, which makes such a vehicle a rewarding build: it is the stowage that fills the space and gives it scale. Vehicles in European service carried different equipment from those in the Mediterranean, which is why the brand offers both sets separately.
Wash the castings in warm water with dish soap, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces down; when sanding resin, work wet and protect your airways. Before gluing with super glue, lay the parts out dry and look for a natural arrangement, as the stowage should look stacked rather than set out. Fill the corners and the walls of the fighting compartment first and only then the middle. On painting: set the individual objects apart by material, canvas matte and lighter, wood with visible grain, metal darker and with the edges lightly lifted. Then unify the whole with a light wash, a dry brush and a fine layer of dust. Stowage takes a stronger finish than the vehicle itself, because it was exposed to the weather.
