This item is not a model of a vehicle or figures but an add-on set for a scene. It brings military stretchers, the detail that is missing from modeling scenes most often even though it is exactly the one that can give a diorama its action. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Black Dog, whose main field is accessories for modelers in 1:35.
Stretchers say at once what is going on in a scene. Set up beside an armored vehicle with casualties being evacuated, propped against the wall of an aid station or loaded on the bed of a truck, they turn a static display of vehicles into a story. They also work well as equipment for an ambulance vehicle or as part of a field aid station, where they can be combined with blankets, pouches and figures of medics.
Stretcher frames tend to be metal or wooden, while the canvas is flat and dirty. It is exactly the contrast between the glossier frame and the flat canvas that makes the result believable. The canvas is helped by a dark wash that brings out the folds and by fine dry brushing in a lighter tone on the raised areas. If you are placing stretchers in a combat scene, do not be afraid of local stains and dust: clean medical equipment looks improbable in the field.
