A set of miniature stringed musical instruments in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Firma49. The parts are made by high-resolution 3D printing (SLA) in resin. It is a diorama accessory, not a standalone model, and it gives a scene a human dimension and a story.
A musical instrument in a figure's hand or propped against a wall tells a story at once, of rest, of entertainment between battles or of civilian life. It is exactly such props that set an ordinary display case apart from a well-thought-out diorama.
First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts. Remove the print supports carefully so as not to damage the fine sections and clean the faces up with respiratory protection. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue. The wood of the instruments comes out with a base primer, filters in wood shades and a fine varnish; the strings can be suggested with thin wire or with paint.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
